The r&d project DESMEX-REAL, which was carried out with the support of the BMBF under grant number 033R385, has been successfully completed.
As part of the DESMEX-REAL project, the applicant worked on the sensor technology and helicopter geophysics work packages. A towed probe was constructed to reduce motion noise and thus increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). At the same time, superconducting sensors were used that are much better suited to the system and also further improve the SNR. In addition, the applicant contributed to the development of suitable algorithms for data processing.
The flights carried out demonstrated the performance of the instrument for SAEM, AFMAG and FTMG.
The results confirmed the performance of the JESSY STAR system, which has been optimised in various aspects.
